How To Schedule Auto Transport
The first time shipping a vehicle can be a bit overwhelming. You are not sure what the process will involve or when to book services. We, at National Dispatch, understand that the auto transport process can be confusing. Therefore, we seek to help our customers in any way that we can.
We want you to know the ins and outs of auto shipping before deciding to ship your own car. This way you will have peace of mind, and there will be no surprises in how the process works. We have assembled a few tips to help you in the scheduling of future auto transport services.
Understand The Shipping Options Available
National Dispatch offers three different auto shipping options. Right now, we are going to focus on economic and priority shipping. Upon booking auto transport services, you will notify the company of a date you want the car to be picked up by, which is used to determine a pickup window. The pickup window is the time scheduled to you when the carrier will pickup the vehicle from its location. Using economic shipping, the car will be picked up within fourteen days, but delivery time will depend upon the route. With the use of priority shipping, one to three days are allotted for pick-up of the vehicle and another one to six days for delivery.
Choosing Guaranteed Shipping
If you are in need of a faster shipping option than the ones previously mentioned, then we encourage you to choose our guaranteed shipping option. This is more expensive than the alternative methods of shipping because of the short time frame and convenience factor. Guaranteed shipping is the best option to choose if you are on a tight schedule. Rather than being given a window of time, you will receive an exact pickup date within a few days.
Book Ahead Of Time
We want every customer to have the best car shipping experience possible. For a smooth auto transport process, it is important to schedule services as soon as you know you will need them. It is best to book ahead of time than to be rushing to get everything done at the last minute. There are also some preparation recommendations prior to shipping your vehicle. If you do happen to book on short notice, have no worries. National Dispatch offers a shipping option to suit your needs.
Location, Location, Location
Remember, location plays a large part in a car shipping rate and scheduling auto transport services. Transport routes are comparable to airline flights, in that bigger cities receive more popularity. This is one reason why shipping to a rural location may affect your car shipping quote. It is easier to find a carrier going to a location near a large city than one going out to the middle of nowhere. This is not to say that auto transport trucks do not venture to rural locations; they certainly do. At National Dispatch, we ship anywhere in the United States.
